Essential fatty acid supplements can be consumed at anytime throughout the day.  The most important thing to consider is that they are taken on a regular basis.  Just like the meals you eat, they need to be taken every single day!  Try dividing your daily intake in to two separate servings to increase the efficiency at which your body absorbs the supplement.
