Video - Blast your Chest & Triceps With Push-ups
Push-ups are a highly versatile body weight exercises that work the chest and triceps muscles very effectively.
Most people are familiar with traditional push-ups, but aren't aware of just how many different ways the push-up can be incorporated in to their weight training program.
This video demonstrates some of the different variations of the push-up for targeting both the chest and triceps muscles.
One of the great things about the push-up is that there are plenty of ways to increase or decrease the intensity of the exercise. For example, to decrease the intensity of the exercises you simple need to pivot at the knees instead of the ankles.
If your body weight is not enough resistance, you can
change the angle of your body (i.e., legs up on a bench) or you can
have a training partner apply resistance by placing their hands on your
back.
Another way to increase the intensity of a push-up is
to use a more explosive movement, as demonstrated in this video. This
as also a great way to increase the strength and power of your chest
and triceps muscles.

I do most of my workouts from home, and in addition to push-ups, I like to perform dips using the deck in my backyard.
Has anyone ever tried doing push-ups on an exercise ball?
